This should work for many cases when Nikon built-in red-eye removal fail. It may be a little tricky if the red eyes are small.

Max

Re: Red Eye Removal in Capture NX

Thanks for a great tip. Just yesterday was having a hard time removing red eye from some of my photos using Capture NX build-in tool. I would say this tools is really bad - some free editors have better forking red eye removal. Sounds like your method is going to work in most of the cases.

Re: Red Eye Removal in Capture NX

Bruce,

Without seeing your photos, it is hard to come up with anything. If you can send me your photo, I will be able to take a look to see why it is not working and hopefully come up with something that works.

picmax [at] gmail.com.

Max

Re: Red Eye Removal in Capture NX

I tried following the instructions. This tutorial explains the use of the selection brush and linked adjustments, which are two very useful tools available in Capture NX.

Max

Re: Red Eye Removal in Capture NX

This is a great tip. It's useful to have an alternative to the built-in red eye removal. The general approach used here also helps one understand the principles NX uses and how to get more out of it.
